When it comes to creative thought leaders, you can find Steven Pressfield pretty high up on the list.
His thoughts on Resistance (procrastination/imposter syndrome) and the blue collar work ethic required to be a creative professional have guided me for years.
Most people recommend his book, The War of Art, which is probably his flagship book. I, however, will recommend his more tongue in cheek title, Nobody Wants to Read Your Sh*t.
If you want to make things that matter, you have to make it for people who care.

Do $#!t that matters to the market. Only then will people want to read it.

Enjoy!
